The TATA Steel PGTI Players Championship, which will be played at the Chandigarh Golf Club from April 12 to 15, carries a prize purse of Rs 50 lakh.
Tata Steel first came onboard as an umbrella partner of PGTI in 2019 by signing a three-year contract with the controlling body for professional golf in India.
The tournament carrying a prize purse of Rs 40 lakh will be played at the Kalhaar Blues & Greens Golf Club. The tournament comprises a field of 126 players -- 123 professionals and three amateurs.
The tournament will feature leading Indian names such as Manu Gandas, Yuvraj Singh Sandhu, Om Prakash Chouhan, Akshay Sharma and Amardeep Malik, to name a few.
Finally, the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) the country’s premier tier in the sport is back.
