An All India Congress Committee (AICC) team on Sunday interacted with farmers of Dhenkanal who aired their grievances against the paddy procurement.
The State government procured 48.89 lakh tonnes of paddy in this year Kharif as against the 47.08 lakh tonnes of paddy last year.
The department has not received any complaint from farmers from any districts.
As per the final estimates, a total of 3,26,819 acres cultivated by 1.18 lakh farmers has been insured. Around 2.9 lakh acres were insured last year.

District Collector A Md Imtiaz has said that all arrangements are made to provide remunerative price for paddy produced by the farmers during Kharif season in the district.
Official sources said paddy seeds for transplantation have been sown across 40 per cent of cultivated land against 20 per cent last year.
They had appealed to the district administration to facilitate their entry following which the latter had forwarded their names to the State Civil Supply Corporation.
