UP Polls 2022-Phase 1: Over 2.28 crore voters to decide fate of 623 candidates

Uttar Pradesh is all set to decide the fate of several BJP heavyweights in its first Assembly election after Covid-19. Polling has begun in 58 seats spread across 11 districts of Western UP on Thursday. The 11 districts are — Shamli, Hapur, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura and Agra.
