Kerala rains: State on high alert as rain set to continue, NDRF teams deployed

As rains continue to lash days ahead of the expected onset of Southwest monsoon, IMD has issued a red alert in 5 districts in Kerala on May 16. IMD issued a red alert in Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kannur districts. A few low lying areas in Kerala were flooded on May 15 due to heavy downpour.
