Himachal Pradesh: At 15,256 ft, Tashigang is world's highest polling station

Tashigang, a village located in the Lahaul-Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh has the world's highest polling station. Located at an altitude of 15,256 feet, the village has 52 registered voters, -- 22 women and 30 men, for state assembly elections. It has been made a model polling station to make voting easy for senior citizens & disabled voters.
