Another storm coming': WHO warns of omicron surge

The WHO’s top official in Europe urged governments on Dec 21st to prepare for a “significant surge” in coronavirus cases across the continent due to the omicron variant, which is already dominant in several countries. UK reported more than 100,000 new daily cases for the first time as Omicron surged.
