ISLAMABAD: Four Pakistani policemen were gunned down by unidentified assailants in Punjab province Tuesday, a media report said.

The attack took place near a railway intersection in Gujrat district, 120 km from Lahore, Xinhua reported citing local media.

Gunmen on two motorcycles rained bullets at the police officers. Three policemen were killed on the spot while another died in hospital.

The gunmen fled the scene after the attack.
