Four dead in Nigeria military chopper crash

ABUJA: At least four people were killed when a military police helicopter crashed in Nigeria Wednesday, Xinhua reported. Police said the helicopter crashed into a building around 11 a.m.

ABUJA: At least four people were killed when a military police helicopter crashed in Nigeria Wednesday, Xinhua reported.

Police said the helicopter crashed into a building around 11 a.m. in Jos, capital of Plateau state.

The helicopter was carrying out surveillance in the state capital that has seen clashes between Muslims and Christians that have claimed hundreds of lives in the past.

Police said a deputy inspector general of police was among the victims.
