Mexico City, Oct 2 (IANS) An explosion at a Mexican oil refinery left at least six people wounded Tuesday, Xinhua reported.

The incident occurred in Hidalgo state at a crude oil refinery, operated by Mexico's state oil company Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex), the company said

Via Twitter, Pemex announced it was "attending to an accident at the Tula refinery, at the Hidros One plant. Unfortunately, six people are confirmed injured so far".

The blast occurred in the afternoon at the Miguel Hidalgo refinery located in Tula, Hidalgo, some 100 km from Mexico City.
