A video, which went viral recently, shows a pitched battle between a rabbit and a snake after the former found it wrapped around its bunnies. A long black snake preyed on the bunnies by wrapping itself around them in the grass, most likely to eat them.

Just then, the rabbit leaps on the snake to set its babies free and then begins a frenetic attack. When the mother found its babies dead, it furiously attacked the snake with a vengeful intention by scratching, biting and pulling the reptile with its paws.

As the snake attempts to slither away from the impending danger, the rabbit doesn't give up and continues its assault. In the background, shocked reactions of a child and mother, watching from the window can be heard.

Despite all the efforts made by the rabbit, it appeared the protective rabbit was too late to save its bunny.

The clip was uploaded by YouTube user 'Ramakanth p' on June 18.
