Radhika Pandit does not believe in religious rituals :

What are your spiritual beliefs?

I am not a religious person. And I don’t think I’m qualified to  criticise or recommend a particular religion to others.

What is your understanding of God?

According to me, God is nothing but a positive energy  that is a must for mankind to lead a happy and content life. God knows what is best for us. I wanted to become a teacher but that didn’t happen. I have no regrets. Now, I have realised that as an actress I can serve society in a number of ways.

What are your spiritual practices?

I offer no pujas at home. I believe in the power of prayers. I think the prayer is the best way to connect with God than offering pujas or participating in rituals. Prayer needs no rituals.

Do visit any pilgrimage centre?

As a child, I visited Tirumala, the abode of Lord Venkateswara. I also visited Shirdi, Dharmasthala, Rishikesh and Mangesh in Goa. Being a Chitrapur Saraswath Brahmin, I love to visit Chitrapur Math at Shirali in Uttara Kannada district. I don’t visit temples every day. I feel good after spending some time at Chitrapur Math. I believe there are positive vibrations there.

Radhika Pandit is a Sandalwood actress who has won the Filmfare Award twice for her films 'Moggina Manasu' and ‘Love Guru’.
