Adopt A Pup At the Mall

Adopt A Pup At the Mall

Sunday shoppers at a mall, how would you find it if puppies are up for adoption when you go there? Here’s what Forum Vijaya Mall at Vadapalani has to offer for shoppers and others interested in adopting. Around 20 mongrels — all aged between 30 and 50 days —will be up for adoption at the mall.

The mall, in association with Blue Cross, has set up this Adoptathon, which will take place  from 3 pm to 6 pm at the atrium. A veterinarian will also be present to guide those interested in adopting the puppy of their choice. “It is our pleasure and privilege to be associated with this noble cause of finding homes for a few Indian mongrels. We at The Forum always strive to do our bit to make our communities a better place to live in,” said Vinod Prasad Injeti, centre head, The Forum Vijaya Mall, speaking about the mall’s involvement in the drive.

“All they need is a valid government identity proof. This adoption drive is free of cost and there would be frequent follow-ups to see if the puppies are taken care of,” said Dawn Williams, general manager, Blue Cross.

Williams also said that when Forum Mall approached them to hold the adoption drive, The Blue Cross was more than willing to offer some of the pups with them. He added that travelling to Velachery, where The Blue Cross is located, just to adopt the pups would be difficult for many and that pet lovers could access them through this initiative.

He said he was willing to hold such adoption drives in other places, if people expressed interest. For further details about the adoption drive, contact 49049000.
