Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami inaugurates 13 parks in the Chennai

CM Palaniswami inaugurated 13 new parks in various parts of Chennai on Monday and commissioned the underground sewerage facilities, constructed at a cost of 35 crores at Soorpattu in Madhavaram zone.

CHENNAI : Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami inaugurated 13 new parks in various parts of Chennai on Monday, and commissioned the underground sewerage facilities, constructed at a cost of 35 crore at Soorpattu in Madhavaram zone besides similar underground sewerage facilities at Puthagaram and Kathirvedu at a total cost of Rs.60 crore, through the video conferencing facility at the Secretariat.  The chief minister commissioned and inaugurated various works completed at a total cost of 103.40 crores. 

The 13 parks are located at Ramachandra Street in Santhosh Nagar (Mugalivakkam), Tsunami Quarters (AIR Nagar) in Ennore, Balakrishna Nagar, Vegetarian Village (Puzhal), Puthagaram, Padmavathi Nagar Service Road, Padmavathi Nagar in Kathirvedu, Seventh Street, Ponniammanmedu and Thanikachalam Nagar, VIP Nagar in Mogappair, Veermamunivar Street, Annai Velankanni Nagar Phase-II (Mugalivakkam) and Rajiv Gandhi Road (Sollinganallur). 

The chief minister also inaugurated children’s playgrounds at TVS Colony 45th Street and Officers Colony in Ambattur zone and office buildings for Municipal administration department. Municipal Administration Minister SP Velumani, Rural Industries Minister P Benjamin, Chennai Corporation Commissioner D Karthikeyan and senior officials were present on the occasion.
