Class VIII boy stabs another student over petty fight in Hyderabad

A Class VIII student of a private school in Sanathnagar here  stabbed another class X student of a government high school  over a petty fight.

HYDERABAD: A Class VIII student of a private school in Sanathnagar here  stabbed another class X student of a government high school  over a petty fight.

The victim suffered stab injuries to his hand and back, and is undergoing treatment. The incident took place on Saturday evening, when the victim, a resident of Jinkalawada was returning home after the school.

According to Sanathnagar SI K Eshwar, both the boys had a petty fight around two days ago, when one of them had dashed the other with his bicycle, accidentally.

“Keeping this in mind, the student brought a knife to school on Saturday and attacked the other boy, while he was going home on the bicycle. He stabbed him  twice on his back. The student suffered bleeding injuries and was immediately rushed to Neelima Hospital located nearby,” police said, adding that the boy’s condition is stable. A case has been booked against the boy under Section 324 of the IPC. The accused has escaped. His father has assured to bring back the boy and handover to the police, said the SI.
