HYDERABAD: As many as 186 properties situated on 31 road stretches in Greater Hyderabad, identified as major traffic bottlenecks, will be removed for hassle-free vehicular traffic.These roads and some junctions need widening and improvement on a priority and the town planning wing of the corporation has drawn up plans to remove these obstructions by acquiring the properties.
The GHMC identified 64 properties on the NMDC-Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital road, 14 on the Champapet Crossroad-Inner Ring Road stretch and 12 on the Mehdipatnam-Noble Talkies road for removal.
The other bottlenecks are Owaisi Hospital junction-Santosh Nagar (1), Saroornagar junction (3), Champapet Crossroad-Inner Ring Road (14), RTC Colony Arch-Sairam Nagar colony-Inner Ring Road (1), Lingojiguda Gandhi statue-Karmanghat Crossroad (7), Rein Bazar Chaman-Morning Star Cafe (10).Zohra Bee Dargah to Habeebnagar (6), Durdana Hotel to Lucky Hotel up to Nallavagu (2),Uppuguda RUB (6), Dobighat Junction to IS Sadan (6), Women Jail at Chanchalguda free left (1), Mehdipatnam to Noble Talkies (12), Gudimalkapur Junction to Laxminagar (6), Ayodhaya Junction to NMDC (3), NMDC to SD Eye Hospital (64), Proposed RDP 40 ft-wide road from PVNR Expressway pillar no 83 to Guddimalkapur Market (10), Tolichowki Flyover Road (4), Liberty junction to Himayatnagar (3), Narayanguda to Himayatnagar (1), at Chaderghat Junction on road from Koti towards Nimboliadda (1), at Nimboliadda Junction from Chaderghat crossroad towards Kachiguda (3), Filmnagar Road (1), at Ambedkar statue Junction on road from Telugu Talli statue towards Tank Bund, from Libery towards GHMC IT junction (10) and either side of the nala near Gandhi statue on MG Road in Secunderabad (4).
