Students discuss socio-economic problems at Hyd Youth Assembly

In the second phase programme of the sixth season of Hyderabad Youth Assembly (HYA) on Sunday, a panel of executive members had a discussion with students selected from across educational institutions.

HYDERABAD: In the second phase programme of the sixth season of Hyderabad Youth Assembly (HYA) on Sunday, a panel of executive members had a discussion with students selected from across educational institutions.

The assembly was held at Dr Marri Channa Reddy Human Resource Development. The dialogue was based on four areas vital to achieving the aim of sustainable development. The areas are - Zero Hunger which deals with urban farming concept; quality education dealing with learning opportunities for the differently-abled, especially autistic patients; clean water and sanitation which is about chemical water purification kits to villagers.
The last area is decent work and economic growth, which is about empowering widows with equal opportunities and skill sets for sustainable economic growth, in regard to employment.
TK Sreedevi, IAS, director and commissioner of Municipal Administration Department was the chief guest at the programme.

In her speech, Sreedevi expressed concerns on the issues faced by girls married at an early age, post-puberty or before.
Hyderabad Youth Assembly is an endeavour of street cause to accredit the youth and present them with an opportunity to give their two cents worth to the general public.
The key panelists at the Youth Assembly were Parinay Rikhy, Yeshwanth Kumar and Arun Kumar from HYA.
