Hyderabad mother allows ‘baba’ to rape her minor daughter to purge her of ‘evil’

In a sordid case, a woman teacher allegedly allowed a fake baba to rape her 16-year-old daughter in an attempt to purge the girl of an ‘evil spirit’.

HYDERABAD: In a sordid case, a woman teacher allegedly allowed a fake baba to rape her 16-year-old daughter in an attempt to purge the girl of an ‘evil spirit’.

The girl’s maternal grandmother was also a part of the game which continued for over a period of time till the father of the girl found it and lodged a police complaint. Basing on his complaint, Petbasheerabad police on Tuesday arrested the mother and the grandmother.

The family, which lived in Kompally here and believed in the faith healing of the fake godman of  the same locality. The godman is said to have developed physical relationship even with the girl’s grandmother and later with the mother.

According to the police, the father of the girl, a businessman, on coming to know about the matter, lodged a complaint on Tuesday stating that his wife and mother-in-law had forcibly made his daughter have physical relationship with  Madhukiran, the fake baba. He further said that his wife  took the girl to the house of godman to drive out the evil which allegedly possessed the girl.

Under the pretext of exorcising her, the godman and his associates took the girl to Srisailam and performed some ‘rituals’. The fake baba also had forcible sex with the girl with the support of her mother and grandmother, police said, quoting the complaint.

The woman and her mother were arrested and special  teams formed to nab Madhukiran and his associates, the police said.
