Japan mela starts tomorrow

KOCHI: Indo Japan Chamber of Commerce Kerala (INJACK) will be organising Japan mela in Kochi. Japanese products and services will be displayed during the mela which will begin from November 30 and conclude on December 3. As part of Japan mela, the Japanese commerce and education institutions will come to Kochi. A Business to Business (B2B) meet including Japanese companies will be held on November 30 at Holiday Inn. Japanese ambassador Kenji Hiramatsu will inaugurate the function at 9:30 am.  Around 20 Japanese companies and well known Japanese Universities will be participating in the B2B meet.

At the mela the entrepreneurs from the state will get to learn more about the Japanese technologies and also start various joint ventures with businessmen from Japan. INJACK through the B2B meet puts forward an opportunity for entrepreneurs to make use of Japanese technologies and products without actually going to Japan.

A three-day B2C meet will be held at Lulu Mall from December 1. District Collector Mohammed Y. Safirulla will inaugurate the mela December 1 at 11 am.  Around twelve Japanese stalls will be set up at mela. Japanese drummer Mia Harra’s fusion show will be a main attraction of the event. Japanese dancer, AmyMayuri will perform Bharatanatyam which will be a new experience to visitors. Music bands will also perform at the Mela. People who come for the Mela haveVisitors will get a chance to enjoy Japanese cuisine at the mela. The mela starts at 10 am.

The aim of the three-day meet is to create an awareness among the people on Japanese products and services. Japan Mela is expected to garner nearly 2,00,000 visitors which can generate substantial business enquiries for exhibitors. Japanese organizations who are looking for setting up manufacturing or assembling units, joint ventures and distribution will participate in this mela. The mela will pave way for companies to find enterprises and entrepreneurs that would help in the development of their business. The sectors that will be the most favourable are Information Technology, Robotics, Ayurveda, Wellness, Fisheries and Seafood, Food & Food Additives, Tourism, Electric, Electronic Equipment and Components etc.
