KOCHI: In a major development in the state's IT sector, Chicago-based Netrix LLC has acquired two Kochi-based companies, Ideamine Technologies and Empressem Technologies.
The acquisitions, made for an undisclosed amount, were announced by Netrix management in a media conference in Kochi on Monday.
Netrix partner and managing director Rob Dang, Vertical Solutions partner and director Gregory Price, Netrix director Stephen Dress, Ideamine Technologies founder, and also CEO and vice president of business development at Empressem Technologies Jyothis Joseph, and vice president of engineering at Empressem Technologies Ajeesh Kumar addressed the media conference.
Netrix which started operations in 1989 employs more than 450 people. Its expertise is in network infrastructure, security systems services, unified communications, mobility, cloud and managed services, hardware and software development and services. The company has a Pune office which was acquired recently.
Ideamine Technologies which started operation in 2007 is one of the pioneers in server management and ventured into cloud service the same year.
In 2013, the company entered into a partnership with Amazon Web Services. The company offer services for Azure, Google cloud, magneto hosting, cloud strategy and implementation, remote serve management, windows server management, Linux server management and outsourced web-hosting support.
Set up by a group of veteran software engineers in 2010, Empressem Technologies offers services such as mobile application development, iOS application development, Android application development, augmented reality applications, enterprise mobility solutions, IoT solutions, web application development, applications platforms, cloud and web technologies.
