THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Vitiating the rift in the IPS Association over the T P Senkumar issue, IG Manoj Abraham on Monday resigned as secretary of the Association. He has handed over the resignation letter to the DGP Loknath Behra.

He has cited personal reasons for the resignation. A section of the members had earlier demanded an urgent meeting  to discuss the Senkumar issue. But Manoj Abraham declined. The stand off between ADGP Headquarters Tomin J Thachankary and former State police Chief Senkumar had been vitiated over some administrative matters. A section of officers were also unhappy with Senkmar’s revelations in the interview he had given post retirement.
