VIJAYAWADA: The State government in association with UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) will organise a three-day meet, ‘Transforming Education Conference for Humanity (TECH)-2017’, in Visakhapatnam from December 16. 
The event, which will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, will host discussions on various subjects ranging from technology to humanities. 

The conference is organising as part of the partnership between Andhra Pradesh government and MGIEP, UNESCO’s category-1 research institute in Asia Pacific, in the field of education, sources said.  
The international ed-tech conference in the port city intends to bring together over 800 experts from across the globe including educators and teachers, researchers, neuroscientists, ed-tech specialists, policy makers, learners, gaming experts, curriculum designers, social entrepreneurs, technology experts and futurists. 

The opening ceremony will be presided over by Chief Minister N chandrababu Naidu and Prakash Javadekar, Minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India. TECH is sponsored by Microsoft India, Samsung India, McGraw Hill and Veative. Other Knowledge Partners include the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), Quebec Government, Economic Development Board (EDB), Ubisoft and Social Alpha.
