Vellore Institute of Technology invites applications for VITEEE

Application forms are available at all post offices across India and the test will be held at 120 Indian and four foreign centres.

VIJAYAWADA: The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) invited applications for VITEEE-2019 here on Friday. Students applying for the engineering course will have to appear for an online test which will be held for the academic year 2019-2020.

Application forms are available at all post offices across India and the test will be held at 120 Indian and four foreign centres. Twelve and six centres have been identified in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana respectively. The last date for submitting applications is February 28.

Addressing the media, VIT-AP Vice President Dr Sekar Viswanathan said the entrance test would be held internationally at Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar and Muscat and this year, over 2.5 lakh candidates are expected to take the test from across the globe.

Those who obtain good ranks may get admissions at VITs in Amaravati, Bhopal, Chennai and Vellore, he added. Based on the ranks candidates obtain in the written test, fee concessions will be given.
VITEEE-2019 rank holders, from rank one to 50, rank 51 to 100, rank 101 to 1000 will get a tuition fee waiver of 75 per cent, 50 per cent and 25 per cent respectively.

VIT-AP Vice President Dr Sekar Viswanathan, Vice-Chancellor Dr D Subhakar, Registrar Dr CLV Sivakumar, Admission Officer Dr AVVS Subbalakshmi, Assistant Superintendent Of Post Offices Srinivas Naik and Chief Post Master General Subrahmanyam released applications for the admission test.
