This could be my last election: Akbaruddin Owaisi

The party’s floor leader in the State Legislative Assembly also slammed those who criticises him saying that he contested elections for his own interests.

HYDERABAD: All India Majilis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen Chandrayangutta candidate Akbaruddin Owaisi on Saturday said that his ill health could prevent him from contesting elections in the future. Addressing a public meeting at Yakutpura, Akbaruddin said, “I have been very sick over the past few days. My kidneys are damaged. There are pieces of bullets near it. A few days back things got so worse, that doctor urged me to undergo dialysis.”

“I don’t have any time for myself. Apart from looking after my many schools, Darussalam banks and hospitals, I also have to look after my health,” Akbaruddin said. Earlier Express had reported that Akbaruddin’s worsening health was preventing him from campaigning extensively. He has so far skipped two-three public meetings and also several paidal yatras.

The party’s floor leader in the State Legislative Assembly also slammed those who criticises him saying that he contested elections for his own interests. “I have never had any sight on any seat, nor will I have in the future. If there is anyone genuine, deserving candidate who would improve the conditions of my community, I would easily vacate my own seat and sit at his feet.”

It is important to note, that Akbaruddin had earlier during a public meeting drawn a parallel with the Kumaraswamy government in Karanataka and had indicated that a similar situation could happen in the state, with AIMIM playing a similar role to the JD(S). A few days back he also said that if he was made the Chief Minister he would provide many jobs.

AIMIM chief calls Naidu ‘biggest liar’
Slamming Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for his claim that he “created Cyber Towers”, All India Majilis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi called him “the biggest liar”. Speaking at a public meeting in Musheerabad, Owaisi said, “He is saying that he made Cyber Towers. Yes Chandrababu, you made Charminar too, you made Golconda fort.

You have made all buildings over here. I have never seen this big a liar. Chandrababu comes second only to Modi when it comes to “fekna”. If you made Cyber Towers in 9 years, why couldn’t you construct Amaravati in the last 5 years?” he asked.
