After the release of Padmavati, Ranveer Singh will start shooting for My Name Is Lakhan directed by Rohit Shetty.
The film is question is not the remake of Ram Lakhan nor will the lead character be based on Anil Kapoor’s iconic character of Lakhan. Reportedly, Ranveer Singh will be seen as a corrupt police officer in the film.
The film will be an out and out commercial entertainer and will go on floors by the end of 2017 before which Rohit Shetty is expected to finish shooting for Golmaal Again.
Shetty and Singh were initially supposed to work in Ram Lakhan 2.0, but that it did not materialise as no actor was reportedly ready to play Ram’s character in the film. It is speculated that My Name Is Lakhan is being inspired by Jr. NTR’s Telugu film, Temper that released in 2015.
