Darshan-Prakash team up for a family entertainer

Coming together for the first time, the film produced by K S Dushyanth will start shoot from November

Director Prakash has a penchant for comfort especially when it comes to his lead actors. Having established a successful wavelength with Vijay Raghavendra, Shivarajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar, the director is now teaming up with Darshan for his next.

This yet-to-be-titled family drama will mark the first collaboration with the actor and Prakash. According to the director, the project will be produced by his brother-in-law K S Dushyanth. “He has previously produced Milana and Shree for me and this will my third project with him,” says Prakash.

Gearing up to go on floors from November, he is now in the process of finalising the star cast and the title of the film. “Darshan has another schedule to complete after he comes back from Malaysia where he is currently shooting for Chakravarthy. We will start after his schedule is over,” he says.

The director reveals that he was ready with the script and felt Darshan was the most suited for it. “I have this habit which forces me to approach a particular actor if I strongly feel that he best suits the script and narrate the story. Luckily for me, it worked well after I met Darshan. We had planned to do a film together and this came up,” he informs.

While there are rumours about the film having two heroines, Prakash remains tightlipped. “It is too early to get into the details. Right now I am on the verge of finalising the music director. There are a couple of names doing the rounds and I will soon be roping someone,” says the director who also revealed that the film will be shot mainly in Bengaluru and Mysuru.

“We will have a long schedule of about 25 days abroad. We are yet to finalise on which country, but are looking for a place which will be sunny and not cold,” he says.
