Every day is a challenge for the Leader crew, who are currently shooting crucial portions in Kashmir. As the makers reveal Shivarajkumar’s get up in the film, who plays an Army captain, director Narasimha tells City Express that the team is indeed facing a huge hurdle at the sets.

“We had read about unrest in Kashmir and have personally witnessed it, and we are managing that with police protection, but what is a major problem is the weather. It is  -14 degree Celsius and there is unending snowfall. It is tough.

Out of nine days we are here, we managed to shoot through the day only for four  days.

We are handling the wind and snow fall,” says the director, who had to cancel shoot on Wednesday.

“We completed the song shoot with Ashika and the rest of the portions will have to be completed by February 12.”

Narasimha is stumped by Shivarajkumar’s dedication. Apparently, the Century Star had a low BP the day he landed in Kashmir. But that did not deter him from showing up for the shoot.

“In fact, he had shot action scenes on Tuesday and he did it without any body double,” says the director. “He has a few portions with Vijaya Raghavendra left, which will be shot along with 25 fighters who have come down from Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.”

Shivanna’s family have gone with him to Kashmir. The film produced by Tarun Shivappa features Guru Jaggesh, Pranitha Subhash, and Krishna Vamsi among the ensemble cast.
