It has been almost four months after Neer Dose’s release and we hear actress Hariprriya is yet to sign her next. She says she is in no hurry and is ready to wait before making that next big move.

Apparently, the actress who played an escort in Neer Dose has had a flood of similar roles.
“I did the film because I loved its premise,” says the Hariprriya, “but now other filmmakers have decided that I am only game for such roles. I have always tried my best not to be typecast and I rejected projects that sounded similar.”

Hariprriya says that she has tried to clarify that she had not done the role for the money. “I had made it clear that the fee I was paid for doing Kumudha’s role in Neer Dose was not very high, I did it only because it was an out-of-the box story. It was an experiment for the artiste in me.”
The actress, at one point, was so tired of reading the deluge of scripts that she started to request synopsis from those who approached her. “All have been the run of-the-mill stories, which I had done in the beginning of my career,” she says.

“Also, after having done edgy roles like that of a naxalite or a call girl, I crave to do only good roles. At times, even I have felt the wait is a waste of time, then again I tell myself that it is better than being part of a bad project and repenting”.

Hariprriya has been in the industry for the past 10 years. “I started when I was 16. After a decade, I think I need to make this change,” she says. “I don’t want to make an exit with that one wrong move. I am okay even if I don’t get to do a good film, but I don’t want to be a part of a bad project.”

She came into the industry without a godfather and the actress is proud of her achievements. “Whatever I have done till date should not go down the  drain,” she says, adding “Since there is no guarantee that I will bounce back  in this sea of competition.”
