Nograj humbled by love

Even actors from across the film industry were greatly appreciative of the teaser.

Danish Sait who has earned fame as a comedian in radio, television and in the online world is all set to conquer new territory – his Kannada silver screen debut in the political satire Humble Politician Nograj’.

The teaser that was released late in the evening of May 1 has, it seems, got a thumbs up from all sections of the audience with more than 1.90 lakh views in less than 24 hours. Even actors from across the film industry were greatly appreciative of the teaser.

Among the first to tweet about the movie, Rakshit Shetty posts, ‘Here’s the official:) to be watched on kurchi compulsory. (sic).'

Rana Dagubati, the actor, who is basking in the success of Baahubali 2 tweets, “The Humble Nooograaajjj is here @DanishSait awesome man!!,” Danish in reply thanked the actor and tweeted “Thank you @RanaDaggubati. You were the 1st one to believe in our idea. Love you.”

Music director Anirudh Ravichander in his tweet says “Here is the teaser of my dear friend @DanishSait’s debut and it is totally on fire Kudos,”(sic).

Among other celebrities who commented on the teaser were director Pawan Kumar, Varalakshmi, Lakshmi Manchu, Sruthi Hariharana, Chiranjeevi Sarja and Rakul Preet Singh   

Danish says he never expected this kind of response and is overwhelmed by the way the teaser is being received. “It is definitely an honest work from all of us. We are not here to compete with people but to make a film that is good and that will be happily consumed by the audience.”  

Claiming that he was humbled by people’s reaction, the comedian-actor says that he will not let the audience down. “Every person who shares something on the Internet today is a stake holder in your product. Though we cannot pay them back with money, we can pay them back with quality. They should not feel that they have wasted their time, their internet data and bought a ticket thinking that it was a waste and rubbish,” Danish says. “The sense of ownership and responsibility is bigger and I am sure we will stand to deliver the audience’s expectations,” he says.

The film is directed by Saad Khan and is produced by Pushkar Mallikarjunaiah, Hemanth M Rao and Rakshit Shetty.
