Though the makers had not official announced it then, City Express had reported that the actress was being considered for the project. Then we heard that the actress of 2.0 was backing out because the dates clashed and she was unable to give the required number of days for The Villain.
Prem’s team then set out on a search for another heroine and names of Kajal Aggarwal, Amyra Dastur, Shruti Haasan and Aditi Rao Hydari were doing the rounds. Now with Amy is reworking her dates, we know that she will be part of The Villain featuring Shivarajkumar and Sudeep in the lead.
The actress will be joining the team in London from May end. “Amy had liked the script and was always keen on making her Sandalwood debut with Prem’s directorial,” says our source. “She has been in touch with the team.”

The actress will soon sign the dotted line and the team will be out with an official announcement.
Amy Jackson is currently busy with 2.0, but its release has been delayed to early next year. Her only other project, which she is currently filming for is an English film titled
Boogie Man.
On Tuesday, The Villain’s team was busy with paperwork to get the London visa because Prem starts his next schedule in Belagavi from tomorrow where Mithun Chakraborty will join the team. Chakraborty too will be making his Kannada debut with this film.
The Villain, with music by Arjun Janya, also has Telugu actor Srikanth in a pivotal role.
