After Oppam (2016) and Pulimurugan (2016), Mohanlal’s Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol  is all set to be remade into other Southern languages. According to director Jibu Jacob, talks are on for remaking the movie, which hit the theatres last week. “Yes, I am in talks with producers and artistes. As of now, we are planning on casting Venkatesh in Telugu and V Ravichandran in Kannada. My dream is to cast Rajnikanth in the Tamil version. Not sure whether it will come true,” says Jibu. Will he be directing all these versions? “I haven’t decided on anything. But, I might direct just the Tamil version and the other ones can be done by someone else,” he adds. The director also said he hopes Meena reprises her character in the remakes too.  In the film Mohanlal plays a panchayat secretary Ulahannan who leads a monotonous life. Meanwhile, Kanupapa, the Telugu dubbed version of blockbuster Oppam starring Mohanlal, will hit the theatres on February 3.
