We know him as the soft-spoken member of the student squad in Aanandam. Now, Arun Kurian will be playing a student, Sameer, in the Lal Jose-Mohanlal film titled  Velipadinte Pusthakam. The shoot has already begun in  Thiruvananthapuram.

“Being a Lal Jose movie, my character has been fleshed out well. Despite the presence of Lal sir, who plays a college principal, Lal Jose has ensured that everybody gets his space,” says Arun, who is excited to share screen space with Mohanlal.

“Yes, I have a few combinations scenes with Mohanlal and I am looking forward to it. As of now, I have shot a few group sequences, but the better ones are yet to come.”

While being upbeat about the visibility the project with Mohanlal will  provide him, Arun says working with Lal Jose was a different experience. “Aanandam was a fun experience and had a different approach. As newcomers, we were chilled out throughout.

But, Velipadinte Pustakam is different. It is like being in a different school. Though I am nervous, I am enjoying the experience, too. It is helping me as an artist,” he says. The movie also stars Sarath and Reshma Anna Rajan of Angamaly Diaries fame. The film also marks the get-together of Lal Jose and
Mohanlal for the first time.
