The announcement that Amal Neerad will be doing the sequel to Big B has already send the fans beserk. And, with the announcement comes speculations. However, director Amal Neerad says that he will move into Bilal only after wrapping up Anwar Rasheed's next Trance, starring Fahad Faasil. Amal cranks the camera for Trance. "As of now, nothing can be told. We are still holding discussions.

Pre-production work has started but since I am busy with Trance, I can move on to Bilal only after I wrap up this work," he says. On Gopi Sundar's post that the same team would comeback for the sequel, Amal says it is too early to talk about such stuff. "As of now, we can only say that the movie will start next year, though I can't specify which month. I too read a lot of rumours regarding this movie," he says. The movie had Mammootty playing the eponymous Bilal John Kurisingal.
