With just one schedule remaining, Mohanlal's mega project Odiyan is inching towards a wrap-up. And, before he starts the final schedule, on December 15, director Shrikumar Menon says that Odiyan isn't a dark horror movie as fan-made posters make it out to be, rather a mass entertainer with class. "One can call it a super-hero movie as Manickyan is a man with great athletic power," he says.

The team has just finished shooting the climax. "Odiyan has a very long and thrilling climax. And the highlight is its high-voltage action sequences. Peter Hein has attempted stunts on par with international standards and we have shot it well," says the director. The climax was shot at four locations.
The director says that the fourth schedule has Mohanlal in a very young look. "We are talking about
reversing over 15 years and have roped in a team to get him a younger look. This includes a team of 25 people that monitors his diet and workout. The kind of training they provide is something athletes go through. It includes sucking out water from the body, so as to ensure a trim look. Mohanlal is extremely thrilled to undergo the process," says the director.

Apparently, Mohanlal is said to be working out for over eight hours a day. The team has 55 more days of shooting left.Though rumours are doing the rounds about the movie, Shrikumar seems to be unruffled. "The kind of effort and hard work

Mohanlal has put in is enough to understand how much he loves and believes in the project. As for Antony
Perumbavoor, he is behind us like a rock. We are very enthusiastic about the project. It is great to be working with such motivated, talented and energetic people," he adds.

Crossover movie

Shrikumar says that Odiyan will be Malayalam's first crossover movie. "It is made in Malayalam, but it will have a pan-India appeal. We are planning on the simultaneous release in Tamil and Telugu as well," he adds. Incidentally, this is Aashirvad Cinema's costliest venture.
