Remember actress Jaishree, who was introduced by Sridhar (Thendrale Ennai Thodu) and later went on to do movies like 'Pista'? Well, this San Francisco- based actress is back to Tamil cinema, after her short stint in TV as the host of 'Thirumathy'. The actress will play the hero’s mum in Milind Rau’s 'Kaadhal 2 Kalyaanam.'

The actress, who is also a project manager in a leading MNC in US, says, “It’s only when scripts inspire me to take time off from work and family that I accept them. And in 'Kaadhal 2 Kalyaanam', I’m not playing the regular mom. It’s a movie that broaches on subjects very relevant to relationships today, and I play a challenging real role.” 'Kaadhal 2 Kalyaanam' is the directorial debut of Milind Rau, an assistant to Maniratnam, and features 'Satyan', Arya’s brother, and Divya Spandana in the lead. Here’s wishing Jaishree, a happy second innings in Tamil cinema.
