Raghava Lawrence, who has directed horror comedies like Muni, Kanchana 1 and Kanchana 2, is back to start work on the next film in the series.

The pre-production of Kanchana 3, which is all set to hit the floors next month, is progressing at a steady pace.

The female leads for the project are yet to be finalised, and if reports are to be believed, the film might feature two heroines.

It will retain supporting actors such as Kovai Sarala, Sreeman, Manobala and Devadarshini who have been an important part of the Kanchana franchise.

The film apparently deals with a new social cause. Reports suggest that Sun Pictures will produce the film and that it has already bagged the satellite rights.
