A group of children in an auto stare as the drama unfolds from atop the tree. As for allegations against Lakshmi Nair, a sub-committee of the syndicate of Kerala University, to which the college is affiliated, found several allegations against Lakshmi Nair to be true, like installation of CCTV cameras at the college women's hostel intruding into the privacy of the students. Kerala University then barred her from all examination-related matters. The sub-committee also found that Lakshmi Nair had given herself the sole power to award internal marks, and that she had misused the power. More internal marks were allotted to Lakshmi Nair's future daughter-in-law, who had only 50 per cent attendance. The principal even refused to submit documents that the sub-committee sought as part of the probe. Audio clippings submitted by students also substantiated charges against her (Express Photo | Kaviyoor Santhosh)
