CHENNAI: Tathagata Satpathy, a parliamentarian from Dhenkanal Constituency in Odisha is being talked about around the social media after he confessed that he smokes Marijuana. And to top that, he also gave advices on how to score weed “legally”.

The Lok Sabha member has gone viral where he won a large number of fans, after inviting people to “ask him anything” on the social media platform Reddit where he answered to many people’s queries sportingly.

Responding to a User Eepsu question on the BJD’s take on decriminalizing weed, Satpathy said “"BJD's election manifesto definitely did not contain anything on cannabis. While in college, I have smoked (and unlike Clinton have inhaled) cannabis many a times. In villages of Orissa, many people openly smoke and, as their representative, I am not entitled to be judgmental."

"BTW cannabis, luckily, is legal in certain states in India, like Orissa. You can walk up to a government excise shop and buy your day's need." the BJD MP added.
