Supreme Court lawyer Namit Saxena posted a series of tweets on Friday saying that Justice Arun Misra asked a physically challenged man to get up from his wheelchair and walk to the podium.

Arun Kumar Mishra is a judge of the Supreme Court.

"The man could barely stand up on his legs, leave apart walking. His son almost had to drag him to the podium," Saxena tweeted.

Only after the man reached the podium, the Bench issued notice on the delay and Special Leave Petition, he said. After seeing the condition of the man, Saxena said in his tweet that "calling him like this seemed unnecessary."

People reacted with anger to the tweet:

Saxena said in one of his tweets that the physically challenged man had a motor accident claim case and had come from Indore.
