Seoul Peace Prize is endorsement of Modinomics, 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas': Amit Shah

Shah said Prime Minister has been honoured for "improving Human Development of fellow Indians by ushering economic growth" and furthering the development of democracy.

NEW DELHI: BJP chief Amit Shah on Wednesday said that conferring of the Seoul Peace Prize on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his contribution to world peace through his economic policies is recognition of the Modinomics which fights for empowerment for all sections of society.

"The world is taking note of PM Narendra Modi's leadership on key issues that face humanity and are appreciating his leadership skills.

Through 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' PM Modi is at the forefront of building a better tomorrow for the world," Mr Shah wrote in a series of tweets.

"I am glad that the Award Committee has taken note of 'Modinomics' whose foundation is to further a spirit of equality and empowerment for all sections of society.

Furthermore, the PM's bold and innovative foreign policy including the 'Act East Policy' have been hailed," the BJP chief wrote.

Shah said Prime Minister has been honoured for "improving Human Development of fellow Indians by ushering economic growth" and furthering the development of democracy through steps towards ending corruption and furthering social integration.

"The Seoul Peace Prize is considered to be among the most valued global prizes, whose previous laureates include former UN Secretary Generals, world leaders, top policymakers and organisations that are driving monumental social change across the length and breadth of our planet," he tweeted.

"It is a matter of great joy and immense pride for 130 crore Indians that PM Modi has been honoured with the prestigious Seoul Peace Prize.

PM Modi's efforts towards boosting global cooperation and raising global economic growth have been noted by the awarding committee," he said.

Mr Modi is the only Indian so far to bag the award, established in 1990.

The selection panel in South Korea cited PM Modi's accomplishments, highlighted by "Modinomics", including India's high-rate economic growth and an improvement in the life of Indian people for its decision.
