New Delhi, Nov 20 (PTI) Fashion marketplace Voonik todaysaid it has forayed into the kids wear segment which willoffer clothes and accessories for children of age group zeroto twelve years.

Sequoia Capital-backed Voonik said the newly-forayedsection is available on Voonik website, mobile site and mobileapp.

"The Kids section launched on the Voonik platform willcontribute 15-20 per cent to the business," Voonik CEO andco-founder Sujayath Ali said.

Ali further said customers have been asking for the kidswear for many years now.

With kids wear, the company said it is penetrating into ahighly profitable segment where both the frequency as well asthe number of items per orders is higher than any otherfashion category.

************GSF Accelerator to invest USD 1 mn in 5 startups*Startup accelerator GSF today said it will invest USD 1million in five startups and has invited applications forselection.

GSF will fund USD 2,00,000 each in five startups, thecompany said adding that this is the highest amount of fundingthat any accelerator provides to the startups anywhere in theworld.

Additionally, GSF will further invest USD 1 million asco-investments in seed/series A rounds, at the end of theprogramme.

The accelerator is looking for innovative tech startupsusing frontier technologies like block-chain, sharing economy,etc to solve problems in the areas of healthcare, fintech,edtech and mediatech, among others.

************PHDCCI launches 'The Ambassadors' Club'*Industry body PHDCCI today said it has launched "TheAmbassadorsÂ’ Club" to promote expansion and diversification oftrade of the country.

"The new initiative is intended to be an open-endeddiscussion forum based in the national capital," it said in astatement.

PHDCCI Senior Vice President Rajeev Talwar said that theidea is to have an institutional arrangement to facilitateunderstanding of markets and opportunities by utilisinginsights, expertise and knowledge of foreign diplomats as wellas retired Indian diplomats.
