New Delhi, Oct 17 (PTI) Rice basmati prices firmed upby Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today onpick up in demand from retailers.

However, other grains held steady in thin trade.

Traders said upsurge in demand from retailers mainlypushed up rice basmati prices.

In the national capital, rice basmati common and Pusa-1121 variety rose by Rs 200 each to Rs 7,200-7,300 and Rs5,900-6,000 per quintal respectively.
