Train Services to be Hit for Inter-locking Works

VISAKHAPATNAM:The Railways has decided to cancel or short terminate several trains in view of the proposed non-interlocking works from October 4 to October 13 for the commissioning of third railway line between Korukonda and Vizianagaram stations for enhancing the rider comfort and faster movement of trains.

The authorities have requested the passengers to note the changes and cooperate.

Short termination

  • The Korput-Visakhapatnam Passenger (no.58537) leaving Koraput from October 5 to 13, will be short terminated at Rayagada and will run as the passenger train (no.58538) from Rayagada to Koraput. The services of this train will remain cancelled between Visakhapatnam and Rayagada on these dates.
  • The Durg-Visakhapatnam passenger (no.58529) leaving Durg from October 5 to 12, will be short terminated at Titlagarh and will run as Titlagarh-Durg passenger train (no.58530) from October 6 to 13. The services of this passenger train will remain cancelled between Visakhapatnam and Titlagarh on these dates.
  • The Raipur-Visakhapatnam passenger (no.58527) leaving Raipur from October 5 to 13, will be short terminated at Titlagarh and will run as Titlagarh-Raipur passenger train (no.58528 ) from October 5 to 13. Hence, the services of this passenger train will remain cancelled between Visakhapatnam and Titlagarh on these days.
  • The Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam-Rayagada passenger (no.57271) leaving Vijayawada on October 4, will be short terminated at Visakhapatnam and will run as Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada passenger (no.57272) on October 5. The services of this passenger train will remain cancelled between Visakhapatnam and Rayagada on this day.
