CM Naidu inaugurates Indwell IT park in Vijayawada

The State government is contemplating to develop hardware technology park at a cost of Rs 200 crore at NTR Complex in Vijayawada by June, said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

VIJAYAWADA: The State government is contemplating to develop hardware technology park at a cost of Rs 200 crore at NTR Complex in Vijayawada by June, said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu after inaugurating eight IT companies at Indwell Tech Park at Auto Nagar here on Friday.

Later addressing the gathering, Naidu called upon the IT professionals of this region working abroad to set up their companies here to generate employment. He said priority would be given to software companies in Amaravati by providing better facilities than Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Already nine IT companies started functioning in Visakhapatnam and 20 IT companies are ready to start their operations in Vijayawada shortly, he added.

The Chief Minister said eight IT companies started by Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugus (APNRT) Society would provide jobs for 650 youth. The IT firms would also provide training to the job aspirants. He said plans are afoot by the government to provide internet, TV and phone facility to all houses in the State through the fibergrid project. About 10 lakh set top boxes have been made ready so far. The fiber grid would facilitate video conference facility. He further explained that the State government is ahead in e-governance, e-Technology and all the services would be made online soon.

Later the Chief Minister launched a website developed by APNRT- www.itcentral.in. IT minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy, ITserve Alliance president Satish, APNRT CEO V Ravikumar, media coordinator, directors of IT companies, municipal commissioner G Veerapandian and IT staff were present.
