VISAKHAPATNAM: Raising pitch against the allegations over land grab and tampering of revenue records in Visakhapatnam, the YSR Congress has decided to organise an ‘all party maha dharna” at the Collectorate here on June 22. YSRC chief and Leader of Opposition  YS Jaganmohan Reddy will take part in the protest, party district president Gudivada Amarnath announced here on Saturday.

“We want all the culprits, especially the ruling party leaders involved in the scam, to be brought to book. Out president (Jagan) has extended solidarity with the victims and the YSRC will join hands with all other Opposition parties to ensure justice to the victims,” Amarnath said, adding that the CPI, CPM and other party leaders will participate in the dharna.

Condemning the government move of cancellation of the public hearing scheduled on June 15 and constituting a Special Investigation Team (SIT), he demanded a CBI probe into all land- related allegations reported from the district.

Referring to the alleged irregularities pertaining to government land on Daspalla Hills, Amarnath said that he had received a legal notice in the `50-lakh defamation case  recently.

“I Know that the case was filed by the persons involved in the land scam. We do not care, but want justice. If necessary, Jaganmohan Reddy will visit the disputed lands and pressurise the government to order a CBI probe,” he said.

Even after a Cabinet minister himself levelled the allegations and MLA Vishnukumar Raju said that the government was intentionally keeping mum on the land scam, the TDP-ruled government is trying to hush it up, he added.
