For a normal person, it takes six hours to reach a plain area from the interior hamlet and Ginde was not in a position to even walk a few steps. His family members made her sit in a bamboo basket, tied it to a bamboo pole and walked for 3o long hours to reach Parvathipuram, reports reaching here said.

The marathon started on Sunday evening and they could make it to Parvathipuram by Monday late night. From there, she was shifted in an 108 ambulance where she was diagnosed with infection in her body and a poor haemoglobin count of 4.6. She could make it hospital at the correct time. If there was delay of even few minutes, she might had died,'' a medical officer said adding that Ginde did not had a medical diagnosis even once in her five months of pregnancy.
