In a fit of rage man hacks wife, 3 kids, sis-in law to death in Ballari

The accused had suspected that the three children were not born to him and always picked a fight with his wife regarding this.

BALLARI: Suspecting the fidelity of his wife, a man killed her, their three children and his sister-in-law at Kampli town, Hosapete taluk of Ballari district, on Saturday night. After the gruesome murders, he surrendered before the police.

The accused Thippaiah (40) hacked his wife Pakkeeramma (36), children Basamma (10), Raju (8) and Pavitra (6), and his sister-in-law Gangamma (30) to death. Initial investigation has revealed that the accused was addicted to intoxicants and would harass his wife for money frequently. He also has an elder daughter who was away when the murders occurred.

According to police sources, the accused had suspected that the three children were not born to him and always picked a fight with his wife regarding this. He was also angry with his sister-in-law for asking his wife not to give money to him. He quarreled with his wife again on Saturday night and in a fit of anger, he killed her, followed by his three children and sister-in-law. 

After the murders, he surrendered before the police. Kampli police have registered a case in this regard. 

Mass cremation of the deceased was performed on Sunday.
