BJP Fields A N Radhakrishnan in Ekm

BJP state secretary A N Radhakrishnan will contest from the Ernakulam constituency. 

BJP state secretary A N Radhakrishnan will contest from the Ernakulam constituency.  The announcement in this regard was made by the BJP national  leadership in New Delhi on Saturday. Radhakrishnan is also BJP’s state-level election committee convener.

 Born to B R Narayana Pillai and Pankajakshi at Cheranalloor in January 1960, Radhakrishnan began his political career at the age of 14 by joining the Lok Sangharsha Samithi and taking part in the agitation against the Emergency.

Known  as ANR in friend circles, Radhakrishnan became a full-time RSS activist after completing his degree course and worked across Kannur district.  The positions he held in the party include Yuva Morcha state vice-president, Ernakulam district president, zonal president, state secretary,  state secretary general and national executive committee member. 

He is  one of the main organisers of various yatras  by the BJP in Kerala and  was also in the forefront of various agitations.  Radhakrishnan is the director of ITFC, an event management company. Ambika is his wife. Their daughter Abhirami is a student of Sacred Heart College, Thevara. Radhakrishnan was BJP candidate in 2009 Lok Sabha elections also.

Meanwhile, the BJP kick-started election campaign for its candidate for Ernakulam constituency A N Radhakrishnan on Saturday.

A get-together of youngsters who are active on social media, marked the beginning of the campaign. The meeting selected convenors to promote the campaign through various social networking sites. BJP IT cell district convenor George Varghese and BJP media cell district convenor M Rajeev also spoke.
