Infosys Foundation to Construct 109 Toilets in Government Schools

BHUBANESWAR : Infosys Foundation will pitch in towards implementation of ‘Swachha Vidyalaya’ programme in the State. Sudha Murthy, chairperson of the Foundation, informed this to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik during a meeting at the Secretariat here on Monday.

The Foundation will construct toilets in 109 Government schools in the Capital city. Besides, it will construct a road in Jagatsinghpur district.

Patnaik requested the Foundation’s cooperation in improving the computer literacy programme. Sudha said the Infosys Foundation will train the trainers. She also said they would train 60 students from Institute of Professional Engineering and Technology (IPET) every year and take the responsibility of their employability.

Development Commissioner Aditya Prasad Padhi, Secretary in the School and Mass Education Department Usha Padhee and officials from Infosys were present, among others.
