COIMBATORE:  One more H1N1 death was reported from Nachipalayam near Eachanari here earlier this week. A daily wage labourer, D Mallika, 48, died in Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH). Her husband and daily wage labourer, M Dhandapani, 58, had died of the H1N1 virus lst week.


The couple had fever and cough and received treatment in a private hospital. As their condition deteriorated, they were shifted to CMCH. Dhandapani died while being brought to the hospital.


The couple’s son, 27, and daughter, 25, were admitted to CMCH as a precautionary measure as they have been taking care of their parents.


“My cousins got admitted in the CMCH after their mother passed away. We have given the required tests at a private lab. The reports were negative for H1N1. They were discharged and are back home,” their cousin said.
