Vizag to host Nat’l conference on e-Governance

VISAKHAPATNAM: The government is gearing up to host another major national event in the city, National conference on e-Governance. The two-day conference, jointly organised by state and central governments, will be held from January 9.

Taking it as a prestige where union ministers are taking part, the state government has directed the district administration to make foolproof arrangements.

The conference is said to discuss the commencement of digital transactions with Internet of Things (IoT) in all the government services. C Viswanath, secretary, department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, additional secretary Usha Sharma and senior officials of the department arrived here on Tuesday and held discussions with Andhra Pradesh IT secretary PS Pradyumna, chief executive officer of Andhra Pradesh Electronics and IT Agency, an autonomous society of state government, Srinivasa Moorthy,

Visakhapatnam collector Pravin Kumar and under secretary Vibhuti Panjiyar.
As many as 1,000 delegates from IT industry are attending the conference including Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and several union ministers.

In the first session of the ocnference , the government reforms and IoT will be discussed, Data Analysis and Future Cyber Security Policy will be discussed in the second session and digital connectivity to the last mail will be discussed on the third session. The state has appointed an organising committee headed by collector Pravin Kumar.
